Hands-on electrical training in English and Spanish — taught by real licensed electricians. Day and night classes built for working adults right here in the Rio Grande Valley.

Skills-first training that leaves you with the certifications employers actually ask for. Pick the schedule that fits your life.
Our flagship program. Wiring, code, circuits, and real lab work that prepares you for residential and commercial job sites — and the apprentice license.
Same hands-on program, after-hours. Built for students who work during the day and want to train toward the trade at night.
A focused one-day course covering construction-site safety fundamentals. Walk out with your OSHA 10 card.
Targeted review to sharpen up before the journeyman exam — code, calculations, and the topics that trip people up.
We exist to get aspiring electricians workforce-ready — with more hands-on time, instructors who've done the work, and the flexibility non-traditional students need.
More lab time than typical programs, so you build real wiring skill before you ever step on a job site.
Your instructors are working professionals — licensed electricians who teach the trade the way it's actually practiced.
Courses taught bilingually so language is never the barrier between you and a skilled-trades career.
Morning and evening tracks built around working adults and families — train without quitting your job.
You graduate with
Real students, real wiring, real job-ready skills — straight from our Pharr training floor.

RGV Technology Institute was founded in 2022 in Pharr, Texas by Dr. Jorge A. Garcia — a higher-education instructor and TDLR Master Electrician with two decades in the field. He started the school with one goal: teach students the real, employable skills the electrical industry demands, and shape the electricians the Valley's workforce needs.
